Fire fighters at the Fuzhou Changle International Airport in China's Fujian province on Thursday accidentally hosed a Fuzhou Airlines jet with extinguishing foam instead of an Air China aircraft.

The firefighters mistakenly hosed the plane after the pilot of a Fuzhou Airlines aircraft informed the control tower that he had spotted sparks coming from an engine of a nearby Air China Boeing 737-800. The Fuzhou Airlines plane was also a Boeing 737-800.

A Shanghai court passed the death sentence on him for the murder of fellow student Huang Yang "out of spite" by introducing the toxic chemical N-Nitrosodimethylamine into a water dispenser in April 2013.

The United Nations has reported the arrest of one of the most wanted fugitives sought after for atrocities connected with him in the 1994 Rwandan genocide. He was arrested after being on the run for 21 years.
The fugitive, 53 year old Ladislas Ntaganzwa, was apprehended in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and would be transferred to Rwanda, the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) prosecutor informed the U.N. Security Council, to face trial on indictment for genocide and other serious violations of international law on human rights.

This is really unexpected, a group of male and female inmates at Malawi's Zomba Prison have been nominated for Grammy Award in the United States. The nomination which was announced on Monday is in the World Music category, the nomination which came as a surprise, is the first time that musicians from the landlocked southern African country will be represented at the prestigious Grammy awards.
Presently, the group calls a crammed, dilapidating maximum-security prison home while their album was recorded with just basic music equipment. However, hopefully in February 2016, this group may achieve stardom in the music world.

Mrs. Keshi died on Wednesday night, in the United States of America after a three year fight with the disease. She was aged 54 years.

Speaking in Abuja with the former British Foreign Minister, Mr. David Miliband who led a delegation from the International Rescue Committee (IRC), President Buhari said that his administration will ensure the resettlement of over two million internally displaced persons in their towns and villages. He said the government would appreciate the support of the IRC and other local and international non-governmental organizations for the exercise.

The Senator representing Bayelsa East Senatorial district, Sen. Ben Murray Bruce has again spoken on the issue of the National Minimum Wage.

Commenting on his twitter handle, he called on the nation's leaders not only to expect the minimum wage earners to make sacrifices but also to be ready to make sacrifices of their own.

He called for the masses to unite and demand to know from the governors why they can't pay those on minimum wage but do not complain about those who earn the maximum wage. He noted that the best security a nation can have is a well paid workforce, just as he reminded the governors that they would need the masses to return to office at the end of their tenure. He also made an analysis on the current minimum wage of N18,000 was instituted when the dollar was exchanging for N140 but it is presently exchanging for N251.

New studies by the University of Sydney show that don't need a dental filling as there is another way to stop tooth decay.
Researchers from the university after‎ a seven-year study of 1,000 patients at 22 dental practices which compared those who received traditional "drill and fill" treatment with those who received a less aggressive preventive treatment using high concentration fluoride varnish and a restricted intake of sugary snacks and beverages between meals ‎found that the latter group's need for fillings dropped by 30 to 50 percent. As a result those at the highest risk, who would get as many as two fillings per year, the need for filling  reduced to 80 percent.

The Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the President, Malam Garba Shehu, said where the principle of the bill was inconsistent with the constitutional provision of free speech the President would not give his assent to make it a law as he had sworn to protect and uphold the dictates of the constitution and would not in any way go against it.
