GERMAN CHANCELLOR ANGELA MERKEL WINS THE TIMES MAGAZINE PERSON OF THE YEAR 2015

The authoritative Times magazine has named the German Chancellor, Mrs. Angela Merkel, 61, as its Person of the Year for 2015.

The magazine based its  choice on her role in the different crisis that have plagued Europe in recent times, from migration to the handling of the Greek debt. The editor of the magazine, Nancy Gibbs said Chancellor Merkel had provided "steadfast moral leadership in a world where it is in short supply".


Mrs. Merkel was noted to have also stepped in even in the wake of the Paris terror attacks.

Second on the list for the award was Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi followed by American presidential contender, Donald Trump.

Congratulations Mrs. Merkel.
