NIGERIA: CARNIVAL CALABAR 2015 BIKERS PARADE HELD IN CALABAR TODAY (PHOTOS)

The Carnival Calabar (Africa's biggest street party) 2015 Bikers parade held today, December 27th in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria. This year's edition featured bikers from Lagos which had about three clubs represented, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Jos, Ghana, Cameroun and the host, Tinapa bikers club of Calabar.

The streets of Calabar which formed the route of the parade namely, Mary Slessor, Ndidem Usang Iso, MCC and Murtala Mohammed highway were lined up with spectators from as early as 12 noon for the show which was fixed to start at 2 p.m.

Sure enough the crowd went up in a frenzy when the bikes came pouring into the streets with the governor of the state, Sen. (Prof.) Ben Ayade and ex-governor Donald Duke among the riders. This excitement was heightened when the bikers started to display their stunts, though the refusal of the crowd to clear the roads despite threats from the police and pleas from the bikers would not allow for an elaborate performance.

See some pictures of the event below.
