Nollywood goes global as Nigerian
celebrities; Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD), BasketMouth, Uti Nwachukwu and Kemi Adetiba other
international stars in Las Vegas, show business capotal of the USA for an event
stated to be the first ever ‘selfie from space’ hosted by the international
beer brand, Heineken in its new campaign Spyfie as it launches the next
installment of the James Bond series, Spectre.
The Nigerians will appear with other
celebrities including popular Bond Villain, Dave Bautista, in the campaign,
scheduled to take place on November 5, 2015 in Nevada, Los Angeles.
Heineken will create the selfie
experience from space, taking the pictures of all the celebrities in ultra HD format
using a camera on the Deimos satellite in orbit 600km above the Earth’s surface
as they assemble at the Hoover Dam in Las Vegas. This is the second time RMD
will be part of an international project. He was a star attraction in the
Guinness 2004 film, Critical Assignment, where he acted with South African
Cleveland Mitchell, aka Michael Power, in the film that also had another
Nigerian actor, Bukky Ajayi.
Another exciting aspect of the campaign
is the TV advertisement which has Daniel Craig as James Bond in a high-speed
boat chase.
Heineken, a popular brand in the
beer market in Nigeria has the four entertainers as its new brand ambassadors
in the country.
