South Africa's celebrity sportsman and paralympics gold medallist, Oscar Pistorius who was freed from  prison in October, 2015 on parole after less than 12 months of the 5 year term sentence for the killing
of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine's day, February 14, 2013 has started doing community service as part of the conditions of his parole.

He arrived the Garsfantein police station in Pretoria, South Africa for this and was met by a barrage of journalists and photographers waiting for him.

The blade runner as he is popularly called, however, still has worries to face as the state prosecutors appealed Pistorius' lesser sentence and are requesting for his conviction for Reeva's murder which could see him return to prison for a minimum of 15 years imprisonment.

He, however, continues to enjoy his freedom for now on a parole which allows non dangerous prisoners to spend only a sixth of their sentence period in actual prison.
