David Beckham, former footballer in the English premier league who later played in America before he left the game may have another role to play in the United Kingdom.

In the United Kingdom where there is a bet placed on about anything, from the results of premier league matches to the possible name of the unborn child of Prince Harry, there seems to be a new one as Beckham who won much attention for his documentary “For The Love Of The Game” which saw him playing football in 11 countries, is up for the betting game as the bookies have put him on the board for the chance to be made a knight by the Queen of England in 2016.


Sure enough the bets have come in torrents with bets highly in favor of the football star to receive the knighthood from Her Majesty. The title entitles the superstar to put the title “Sir” before his name.

Speaking of his documentary, Beckham said football had given him everything stated that he wants to give something back and at the same way see how the power of football can unite people around the world.

After watching the documentary fans just could not get enough of their favorite soccer star as he moved through the 11 countries within 10 days with many individuals getting excited about his tour and many took to expressing their congratulation on Twitter to sing his praise, with many of them insisting he be made a knight in 2016.
