President Muhammadu Buhari earlier
today, Friday received at the State House, Abuja, the Catholic Priest, Reverend
Father Ejike Mbaka of the Adoration Ministries, Enugu, who paid a courtesy call
on him. The Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo was also present during the visit.
The President welcoming Father
Mbaka, extolled his exemplary courage just as he said that one of the best
exhortations by a man of God he had heard was one Father Mbaka delivered earlier
in the year, which was honest, well delivered and expressed concern for the
good of the country.
He assured Father
Mbaka that Nigeria would experience change stating that this will, however,
come "with a lot of hard work, despite the security and economic
problems." He requested for Nigerians’ continued understanding and
patience.
Vice President
Yemi Osinbajo described Father Mbaka as a man "who stood for truth and
propriety, and declared corruption unacceptable." He also assured him that
the Buhari administration was committed to truth and justice and would not encourage
corruption in any way.
Responding, Father
Mbaka said he was happy with the mission and methodology of the Buhari
administration. He also expressed his birthday wishes on the President’s 73rd
birthday.
