BRITISH ASTRONAUT TIM PEAKE PHONES IN FROM OUTERSPACE … BUT TO WRONG NUMBER

ASTRONAUT TIM PEAKE

A British astronaut Major Tim Peake onboard the International Space Station created quite an experience for a lady on earth when he dialed his home but mistakenly called a wrong number with the greeting “Hello, is this planet Earth?”

The astronaut, Peake had arrived the space station on December 15 for a six month’s stint, for the carrying out of scientific experiments and he, desirous of speaking with his family made the call and found out shortly that he was on to a wrong number.

Peake confirmed that the intent of the call was genuine and he was not playing a prank on the lady he accidentally called and he apologized for the mistake.

He took to twitter where he posted: “I’d like to apologize to the lady I just called by mistake saying ‘Hello, is this planet Earth?’ – not a prank call…just a wrong number!”

Peake and the other crew members, however, get a chance to see home again as the space station flies over England on Christmas day at a level estimated to be at rooftop level and it would be seen clearly for about six minutes. It is stated that it would look like the brightest star in the horizon quickly traveling from west to east.
