FORMER PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA GOODLUCK JONATHAN ESCAPES ASSASSINATION

Reports have it that the former President of Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan, this (Monday) morning was lucky to narrowly escape death by some men suspected to be assassins.

The information is that the suspects who had been following the former President and his modest convoy from the Julius Berger bridge area of Yenagoa, the capital city of his home state, Bayelsa met up with the former President at the gate of his private home in the Kpansia part of the city where they intercepted his convoy before the suspects were stopped and arrested by the security men attached to Dr. Jonathan. 

The suspects were thereafter taken to the Bayelsa State Police Command for further questioning while investigation goes on.

It is believed that the men are working for persons adverse to the interest of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
