She took to acting after her graduation in English from the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State, Nigeria. She is a veteran of Nollywood and has acted in several Nigerian movies.
Empress once known for her relationship with the Nigerian musician Timaya, is presently based in the Nation's capital Abuja where she is involved in charity work catering for many disabled persons.
