JEAN FRANCOIS LOSCUITO, NIGERIA’S SUPER EAGLES COACH UNDERGOES SURGICAL OPERATION IN SOUTH AFRICA


SUPER EAGLES ASST. COACH LOSCUITO

Nigeria’s Super Eagles’ assistant coach, Jean Francois Loscuito was yesterday, January 9, suddenly admitted in hospital and rushed to the theater for a surgical operation in South Africa.

Reports from the team’s training camp in Pretoria where the players are preparing for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) state that Mr. Loscuito had earlier on been complaining of an upset stomach. The ailment seemingly beyond what could be controlled by the team’s medical personnel necessitated the evacuation of the German to an unnamed hospital in Pretoria where he taken straight to the theater for an emergency surgery which was performed successfully.


The coach is said to be recovering from the ailment after the doctors successfully removed a metal object discovered inside his stomach.

The super Eagles coaching crew seems to be having a health headache as the head coach, Sunday Oliseh has been down with a health condition for quite a while now leaving coach Loscuito in control of the super eagles. So for now, both coaches are plagued with health issues, in a period which is very crucial for the preparation of the team for its lined up engagements.

This can be seen in the team’s performance in the 1-1 goal score line in its match against Angola on January 6, in Pretoria. The goals from both teams came in the closing minutes of the match with Nigeria scoring first in the 84th minute and Angola equalizing four minutes after.

Information has it that members of the Eagles technical committee have visited the sick coach, who is said recovering and expected to be discharged just in time to be able to join the Super Eagles in their journey to Rwanda for the championship which comes up from January 16 - February 7, 2016.
