SUPER EAGLES ASST. COACH LOSCUITO |
Nigeria’s Super Eagles’ assistant coach,
Jean Francois Loscuito was yesterday, January 9, suddenly admitted in hospital and
rushed to the theater for a surgical operation in South Africa.
Reports
from the team’s training camp in Pretoria where the players are preparing for the
African Nations Championship (CHAN) state that Mr. Loscuito had earlier on been
complaining of an upset stomach. The ailment seemingly beyond what could be
controlled by the team’s medical personnel necessitated the evacuation of the
German to an unnamed hospital in Pretoria where he taken straight to the
theater for an emergency surgery which was performed successfully.
The
coach is said to be recovering from the ailment after the doctors successfully
removed a metal object discovered inside his stomach.
The
super Eagles coaching crew seems to be having a health headache as the head
coach, Sunday Oliseh has been down with a health condition for quite a while
now leaving coach Loscuito in control of the super eagles. So for now, both
coaches are plagued with health issues, in a period which is very crucial for
the preparation of the team for its lined up engagements.
This
can be seen in the team’s performance in the 1-1 goal score line in its match
against Angola on January 6, in Pretoria. The goals from both teams came in the
closing minutes of the match with Nigeria scoring first in the 84th
minute and Angola equalizing four minutes after.
Information
has it that members of the Eagles technical committee have visited the sick
coach, who is said recovering and expected to be discharged just in time to be
able to join the Super Eagles in their journey to Rwanda for the championship
which comes up from January 16 - February 7, 2016.
