NELLY |
The American rapper, Nelly (Cornell Iral Haynes Jr.)
who was on Monday, December 14, supposed to begin a tour of the United Kingdom
at the Koko club in London is reported to have called off the whole mini tour because
of the fear of terrorism attacks in London.
The cancellation of the tour was announced by the
officials at the O2 Ritz Manchester, where Nelly was scheduled to appear on
Thursday, December 17. Their notice stated that: "Due to unforeseen
circumstances, Nelly has been forced to postpone his UK tour. Customers are
advised to hold on to their tickets as rescheduled dates will be announced
shortly & tickets will remain valid for the new shows. We apologize for any
disappointment & inconvenience caused."
It is reported that the singer had "safety
concerns relating to venue security preventing terrorist attacks", it was,
however, confirmed that the concerts would be rescheduled to a later date.
This shows that concerns about terrorism in
Europe is still having a scary effect and may be on for a while.
