STUDENTS OF KWARA STATE POLYTECHNIC PROTEST HIGH LATE REGISTRATION FEE



The students of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Nigeria, today, Tuesday morning are reported to have protested against the N10,000 fine imposed by the school authorities in respect of  late registration by students who fail to finish their registration within the stipulated time.
BLOCKED JEBBA ROAD
The protest which commenced in the early hours of this morning led to the stoppage of vehicular movement on the Jebba road which was blocked by the students. Many travellers on the road were left unable to continue their journey.
STUDENTS PROTESTING
The school authorities, however, on the directives of the Kwara State Government, have reduced the fee to N5,000 and called on the students to reciprocate the gesture and allow peace to be restored to the school. A call was also made to parents of the students to call their wards to order.
