Members of a pro Biafra group, the indigenous
People of Biafra (IPOB) were present in Johannesburg, South Africa at the venue
of the China-Africa summit for a peaceful protest.
The members, mostly youths carried with them placards
and Biafran flags, calling for the recognition of breakaway Biafra and the
release of Radio Biafra director, Nnamdi Kanu who was arrested by Nigerian security
authorities upon arrival in Nigeria from his United Kingdom base.
The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari who was
part of the summit, is billed to return to Abuja.
