FORTE OIL PETROL TANKER EXPLODES IN LAGOS AFTER FALLING OFF BRIDGE (PICTURES)

A petrol tanker belonging to Forte Oil this early this Saturday morning fell off the Ojuelegba bridge in Lagos, Nigeria at the Barracks bus stop and burst into flames.
Eye witnesses say the petrol tanker which was fully loaded exploded upon impact with the ground and the resultant fire spread through the canal and into the surrounding area. The fire also engulfed a building.

The Randle General Hospital in Surulere which is beside the building that got burnt had its patients evacuated to safety. Luckily, the incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday when the area was not crowded as it usually is.
Reactions to the fire included annoyance with the reoccurrence of tanker accidents to indifference due to the hoarding of fuel by marketers. However, all expressed concern that no life was lost in the inferno.
