NIGERIA LOST 274 PILGRIMS IN THE 2015 HAJJ STAMPEDE IN SAUDI ARABIA

The Nigerian National Hajj Commission (NAHCON) in a release yesterday, Monday, November 16, 2015 said 274 Nigerian pilgrims lost their lives in the stampede that occurred during this year's hajj in
Saudi Arabia. It also stated that 44 persons are still missing and two others still hospitalized in Jeddah.

The Agency's Commissioner in charge of Planning, Research Statistics Information and Library Service, Dr. Saleh Okenwa who gave this information in the Nation's capital Abuja assured that the Commission would work with the relevant authorities to ensure the missing pilgrims were found.
