CEO of Konvict Music, Aliaume Damala Badara Akon Thiam (born April 16, 1973) pictured above is a Senegalese-American rapper, songwriter, businessman, and record producer. He founded two successful record labels, Konvict Muzik and Kon Live Distribution. Akon’s second album, Konvicted got three nominations for the Grammy Awards in two categories, Best Contemporary R&B Album for Konvicted album and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “Smack That” and “I Wanna Love You”. He is the first solo artist to hold both the number one and two spots simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100 charts two times.

Don Jazzy’s first full credit production work was in 2004 on Tongolo for Nigerian singer D’banj. He went on to produce D’banj’s first studio album titled No Long Thingreleased in 2005. He has produced tracks for Dr SID, Wande Coal, Emeka Infiniti, D’Prince, Darey, Naeto C, Olakunle Excel et Zanga, Sauce Kid, Ikechukwu & Tiwa Savage. He also collaborated with Jay-Z and Kanye West on the production of Lift Off, featuring Beyoncé on the album Watch The Throne, released on 8 August 2011.
