The Carnival Calabar 2015 second dry run held today, Saturday, November 28, 2015 in Calabar, Nigeria. This is the build up to the finals of the carnival which comes up next month.
The dry run gives opportunity to both the organizers and participating Carnival Bands, Masta Blasta, Seagull, Passion 4, Bayside and Freedom to test their preparedness for the D day. Whereas rehearsals are held on band basis, the dry run brings all bands together for a joint rehearsal on the carnival route lasting from late morning to night time.
Motorists also get to rehearse the blocking of roads and the use of possible alternative routes during the period of the activity.
